Kaia graduated from Carroll College in 2019 with a BA in Sociology. In 2022, she received her MS in Library and Information Science from Simmons University. Before returning to Carroll in 2024, Kaia was the librarian for the Montana Department of Transportation and worked with youth and young adults at the Montana Legal Services Association.
