HELENA, MT – Carroll College has announced a new set of full-tuition scholarships for graduates of O’Dea Catholic High School in Seattle, made possible through continued support from the Simperman-Corette Foundation. The initiative strengthens a decades-long relationship between the Simperman and Corette families and Carroll, expanding access to a Catholic liberal arts education for students who demonstrate academic promise and commitment.

Starting in fall 2026, up to three incoming O’Dea graduates each year will be eligible for the new scholarships. When combined with Carroll’s existing merit awards, the scholarships will cover the full cost of undergraduate tuition and fees for qualifying students. The program is designed to reduce financial barriers while encouraging students from Catholic secondary schools to pursue higher education rooted in faith, service, and academic excellence.

Eligibility for the O’Dea Scholarships requires students to apply for admission to Carroll College, complete the general scholarship application, and submit the FAFSA. While financial need will be considered, it is not a requirement, and awards are renewable each year for students who remain in good academic standing.

The new O’Dea Scholarships build on additional Simperman-Corette Foundation commitments announced earlier this fall. Beginning in fall 2026, the foundation will also support up to six new full-tuition scholarships for Montana students, including three for graduates of Butte Central Catholic High School and three for Carroll students pursuing majors in mathematics or the sciences.

These new awards complement the Simperman and Corette families’ long-established scholarship support, including the Elsie P. Corette Scholarship Fund and the Roy F. Simperman Scholarships in math, science, and nursing. Together, these programs have provided more than $2.8 million in scholarship assistance to over 330 Carroll students.

“We see the impact of this generosity every day in our classrooms, labs, and throughout our campus,” said Dr. Jennifer Glowienka, co-president of Carroll College. “The Simperman-Corette Foundation has been an extraordinary partner in our mission, helping ensure that students with talent and drive can pursue a Carroll education regardless of financial circumstances.”

Over the past 46 years, the late Roy Simperman ‘62 and the Corette family, including the late Diane Simperman, daughter of Jack and Elsie Corette, have contributed more than $9 million to Carroll College. Their philanthropy has supported scholarships, academic programs, scientific facilities, and the recent transformation of the Simperman Learning Commons and Corette Library, leaving a lasting mark on the institution.
