Save the date for inauguration

Join us for the inauguration of Carroll College's 20th President, Jennifer Glowienka, Ph.D., on Tuesday, September 15 at 12:30 pm in the Carroll College PE Center. A community reception will be held following the inauguration. The inauguration ceremony will be rooted in Carroll's Catholic Mission, and celebrate the college's deep connection to Helena and Montana.

The guiding theme that will resonate through all of Inauguration is "Rooted in Mission. Cultivating the Future." Activities have been organized on intentional days to align with the five pillars of Carroll College's mission statement, which are:

  • Instilling an enduring wonder for knowledge that will prepare students for leadership and their chosen vocations
  • Offering an integrative and value-centered education rooted in freedom of inquiry
  • Engaging faithfully the intellectual tradition and the teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Serving all with humility, especially our neighbors who are poor and marginalized
  • Welcoming all persons of good will in a cooperative journey toward truth and virtue

FAQ

The installation ceremony of Dr. Jennifer Glowienka will take place on Tuesday, September 15, at 12:30 p.m. in the PE Center. Several events are planned throughout the week leading up to the ceremony to celebrate this historic occasion.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Donna M. Carroll, President of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, as the keynote speaker for the installation ceremony.

The inauguration of President Jennifer Glowienka marks a historic milestone in Carroll College’s history. The ceremony will celebrate the college’s Catholic mission, its deep connection to the Helena community, and a shared commitment to opening doors of opportunity, empowering human potential, and leading with hope.

The program will include remarks from President Jennifer Glowienka, Carroll College Board of Trustees Chair Dr. Joyce Stewart, Associated Students of Carroll College President Maria Ackerman, and a keynote address by Dr. Donna Carroll, President of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, along with additional speakers and special guests.

Because parking on campus is limited, we encourage guests to carpool whenever possible.

No. Unless otherwise noted, all Inauguration Week events are free and open to both the Carroll community and the public.

No. The college will operate on its regular academic schedule throughout Inauguration Week. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate in events as their schedules allow.
