Paper copies of reports are available upon request by contacting the Financial Aid Office at fao@carroll.edu. Paper copies of the Student Handbook are available upon request from the Saint Success Center Office. Paper copies of the Catalog are available upon request from the Registrar's Office.
Complaint Process
As prescribed by the Department of Education, current and prospective students of Carroll College are encouraged to first address complaints through the applicable institution’s complaint or review procedures.
At Carroll College, the following procedures are in place:
For general complaints, course complaints, or assignment grade disputes, refer to the Student Complaint Procedures in the student handbook.For concerns about safety, report an incident or concern.For concerns about discrimination or protected-class harassment, report an incident or concern.For concerns about privacy of student records, refer to the FERPA policy in the catalog.
Complaints that remain unresolved after engaging in the above-referenced processes may be further pursued in the following manners:
- Complaints concerning consumer protection violations should be directed to the Montana Department of Justice Office of Consumer Protection .
- Complaints concerning proper licensure under Montana law (see Board of Regents’ Policy 221), including, if applicable, complaints related to State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement standards, may be directed to the Montana University System Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education, 560 N. Park Avenue, PO Box 203201, Helena, Montana 59620-3201, 406-449-9124.
- Complaints concerning broad institutional academic practices, such as those that raise issues regarding an institution's ability to meet accreditation standards, may be filed with the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities .
- Individuals enrolled in an online or distance course with Carroll College and residing outside of the State of Montana may utilize the student complaint process .
- Carroll College students residing outside of the State of Montana may also have an opportunity to utilize the complaint processes in their state of residence. A list of information regarding the complaint processes of other states can be found here .
