Why I think you'll love Carroll College
Carroll is not the same as other colleges. There are other small colleges, other Catholic colleges, and other Liberal Arts colleges. Yet, the thing that is different at Carroll is that we combine all of those adjectives to create a place that is great to grow in. The person you are when you arrive at Guadalupe hall in August of your first year is nowhere the same person sitting at Baccalaureate mass in the Helena Cathedral during your graduation weekend. That is a very good thing!
When I look back at my four years at Carroll, it checks all of the boxes. I got an education that gave me the tools to be successful in applying to medical school (we have an 85% acceptance rate!). I had a lot of fun times with friends who I will have for life. I got advising on professional development and career guidance. I had a vibrant and loving spiritual community. The thing all Carroll experiences have in common is some level of uncomfortability. You put yourself out there pretty often at Carroll, whether it be hiking up a mountain for the first time, or asking a professor for help when you are struggling in a course. You may travel to Uganda with a Carroll Engineers without Borders team, or apply for your dream summer job. We aim high and we are growing all the time! I think you will love it here if you are willing to step out of your comfort zone. I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes from Pope Benedict: “You were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness”.
