Carroll Hosting Military Appreciation Game November 11

Football vs MT Tech

In honor of Veterans Day, Carroll College will be hosting a “Military Appreciation Game” on November 11, 2023, at its final football game of the regular season. All veterans and active duty military with I.D. will receive free admission to Carroll’s 12 pm football game against Montana Tech. In addition, there will be two tailgating spots reserved for military programs. Spot #38 is being manned by the VFW, and #39 is being hosted by Carroll’s Saints to the Front ROTC Program. Attendees are invited to stop by the tailgate area and sign a Christmas card to be sent out to a deployed soldier.

Prior to the start of the game, the Boy Scouts of America will be presenting the American flag during the national anthem. The Montana Army National Guard 190th Chemical Recon Detachment will be presenting the game ball with Halo on tactical vehicles. Additionally, both before and during the event there will be an Abrams Tank and a Bradley Fighting vehicle on static display with crews from the Montana Army National Guard.

Individuals can show their support for the Carroll College Saints to the Front ROTC program by purchasing a Fighting Saints Military Appreciation t-shirt, offered in a heathered purple and coyote brown option. The shirts are available in the Carroll College Saints Shoppe bookstore as well as online.

As we observe Veterans Day, let us call to mind the dedication and sacrifices made by our country's veterans and their loved ones. Let us come together in our pledge to uphold the duties and assurances given to them, and to commemorate their service with compassion, respect, and harmony. On behalf of the entire Carroll College community, we thank you and honor you today and always.
