Native Nations and The Church: A Dialogue on History, Renewal, and Reconciliation
Carroll College invites campus and the Helena community to a special screening of Sugarcane, followed by a panel discussion and community dialogue exploring the film’s themes, historical context, and impact on Indigenous communities.
The event will begin with a welcome from a Carroll College representative, prayer, and a traditional Crow prayer/song. A presentation on the history and context surrounding the film will follow before the documentary screening.
After the film, attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a panel discussion and community dialogue featuring Native and non-Native voices. The evening will conclude with a live podcast featuring Alan Hanson and three Native guests.
