About

Janet O’Leary Johnson, MSN, RN, CNE

Assistant professor, earned her Master of Science in Nursing-Nursing Education from Benedictine University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Carroll College. Janet has practiced in adult medical surgical and medical/cardiac intensive care units.  She spent 8 years living abroad in Shanghai, China before returning to Helena to her alma mater to help educate the next generation of nurses. She is passionate about many areas of nursing including nursing education, hospice, critical care, preventative health, entrepreneurial opportunities in the healthcare industry, and serving underprivileged populations. 

Outside the classroom, Janet enjoys a good adventure, always spending time with her family, hiking, watching movies, and traveling.  

Courses taught: Nursing Fundamentals & Health Promotion, Illness across the Lifespan I, Clinical Nursing Care II, and Capstone.
