Commencement Graphic

(HELENA) – Carroll College will be holding two in-person commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 15, honoring both the class of 2020 and the class of 2021.

After having their commencement canceled last May due to the restrictions put in place due to COVID-19, the class of 2020 will hold their in-person commencement ceremony on Saturday at 10:00 am in Nelson Stadium.

The class of 2021 will then hold their ceremony at 1:00 pm, also in Nelson Stadium.

Both ceremonies are a ticketed event, with graduates provided up to six tickets each for family and friends. We ask that all attendees follow the health protocols posted on our commencement page. Graduates will be seated 3-feet apart on the field and household groups will be seated 6-feet apart in the stands. The ceremonies will be held outside rain or shine.

Both ceremonies will be streamed live. Links to the livestreams will be available at www.carroll.edu/commencement.

In addition to remarks from Carroll College President John Cech, Ph.D., each ceremony will feature a senior class speaker elected by their fellow classmates to speak on their behalf. The class of 2020 has selected Ms. Connor Hague of Tucson, Arizona, who graduated cum laude with a major in biochemistry and molecular biology and a minor in psychology, and was also a graduate of the Honors Scholars Program. The class of 2021 selected Ms. Yi-Jen “Jenny” Tu of Taipei City, Taiwan, and Seattle, Washington, who is graduating with a bachelor of arts in communications.

In addition, the college will be honoring the achievements of exceptional faculty, staff, and students with the Emeritus Professors, Outstanding Teaching Awards, Distinguished Scholar Awards, Excellence in Service Awards, Bishop Gilmore Memorial Awards for Outstanding Scholarship, and the Michael Murphy Awards for Outstanding Collegiate Citizenship.
