The Graduation Committee has set the dates, times, and locations for the events honoring graduates of the Class of 2022 as follows:

The education pinning ceremony will be preceded by the dedication of the memorial bench for Dr. Lynette Zuroff, Professor Emerita of Teacher Education, to begin at 3:00 p.m. outside the South entrance to O'Connell Hall.

Baccalaureate Mass
Saturday, May 14, 2022
9:30 a.m., Cathedral of Saint Helena
Maximum of two guests per graduate attending Mass allowed. Cathedral doors will open for seating at 8:15 a.m. Graduates will assemble by 9:00 a.m. outside the Cathedral. Class photo will be taken after Mass.

112th Commencement Ceremony
Saturday, May 14, 2022
1:00 p.m., Nelson Stadium, Carroll College
Mr. Ray Kuntz, Class of 1977 and Former Trustee, Special Address to Graduates
Commencement will be held outdoors rain or shine. Unlimited guests allowed per graduate for the outdoor ceremony. Stadium doors will open for seating at 12:00 p.m. Graduates will assemble by 12:30 p.m. on the field near Guadalupe Hall.

Full Schedule of 2022 Commencement Events

All information below is subject to change based on institutional and public health policies and guidelines. 

Graduation Event Ticketing Information

All graduation event guests tickets are FREE and will be distributed as noted below. Tickets are required for event attendees ages two and up.

  • Baccalaureate Mass: a maximum of two guests per graduate attending Mass at the Cathedral are allowed – tickets can be picked up at the Campus Ministry offices beginning Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Additional family members and other guests will be able to join via livestream.
     
  • Commencement: for the outdoor ceremony in Nelson Stadium, the number of guests per graduate will be unlimited; however, should dangerous weather require the ceremony to be moved inside, only six guests per graduate will be allowed in the PE Center - more details about Commencement ticket distribution will be available should circumstances warrant.

Baccalaureate guest tickets can be picked up in the Campus Ministry offices during these same times.

Graduates pick up your cap, gown, hood, tassel, and name card with line-up number. At this time, you may bring items for the class time capsule. Smaller mementos like your ID cards, name tags, and photos are best because space is limited.

Be sure you have submitted your graduate survey, completed your financial aid exit interview, and cleared all bills (parking tickets, library fines, Wellness Center charges, student account payments, etc.) beforehand.

Rehearsal is mandatory for all graduates! Come learn all of the details for graduation day and practice lining up and walking across the stage -- be sure to bring your name card with line-up number.

President's Toast to Class of 2022

Join your classmates, family, and friends for the President's Toast to the Class of 2022. The President will offer a few remarks, and you will be officially welcomed as Carroll College Alumni. More information about the unveiling of the class bricks will also be shared.

Baccalaureate Mass

Saturday, May 14, 2022 | 9:30 a.m.Cathedral of Saint Helena

Come together for a special Mass honoring the Class of 2022. All graduates are invited and encouraged to attend. The class photo will be taken after Mass.

A maximum of two guests per graduate attending Mass are allowed –- Baccalaureate guest tickets are free and can be picked up at the Campus Ministry offices on Wednesday, May 11th or Thursday, May 12th. The Cathedral doors will open for seating at 8:15 a.m., and graduates will need to assemble no later than 9:00 a.m. outside the Cathedral.

112th Commencement Ceremony

The graduates of the Class of 2022 will be front and center at the 112th Commencement Ceremony! To allow the participation of as many family and friends as possible, Commencement will be held outdoors rain or shine. A virtual livestream will be also be available.

An unlimited number of guests are allowed per graduate for the outdoor ceremony. However, if dangerous weather requires the ceremony to be moved inside, only six guests per graduate will be allowed inside the PE Center. Stadium doors will open for seating at 12:00 p.m. Graduates will need to assemble no later than 12:30 p.m. on the field near Guadalupe Hall. Accessible seating will marked and available on a first come, first served basis. Handicap parking is available on the Southeast end of the stadium stands.

Graduation Sunday Mass

A special Mass for graduating students and their families will be held in All Saints Chapel on the Carroll College campus on Sunday, May 15 at 10:00 am.

Photographs
Helena Photography will be taking a class and individual photographs at graduation. Kevin Hudson, the owner of Helena Photography, will be sending information to graduates and their families about how to order pictures. He can also be contacted via www.helenaphotography.com or (406) 443-1966.

Need Lodging?
Families planning to seek lodging in the Helena area should make their reservations as soon as possible. For information about lodging, visit the official Travel Montana website.

Special Seating Accommodations
Nelson Stadium is able to accommodate guests who might need special seating during the Commencement ceremony, such as wheelchair access or seating on a lower level. The first row of seating across the entire front of the stadium will be designated as Accessible Seating and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicap parking is available on the Southeast end of the stadium stands.
