HELENA – Carroll College Student Activities is partnering with the Helena Civic Center to bring the up-and-coming alternative rock band, Grizfolk, to the Helena community on October 4, 2018.

With a musical style that is a combination of Americana folk rock and electronic pop, Grizfolk, founded in 2013, has been on nation and worldwide tours opening for Bastille, Twenty One Pilots and X Ambassadors. In addition to over 134 million streams on Spotify, the band has performed at Firefly, Hangout, Bottlerock and the Voodoo Festival. The group has also done live performances on Late Night with David Letterman and Conan O´Brien. Equally comfortable playing small venues as they are playing to large arenas, Grizfolk brings an infectious energy to their performances that has earned them a dedicated following of fans of Americana and alternative pop music.

Grizfolk is a four-piece ensemble featuring singer/songwriter Adam Roth (lead vocals, guitar), Swedish producers Sebastian Fritze (keyboards, backing vocals) and Fredrik Eriksson (guitar), and Billy Delia (drums, backing vocals). Based in Los Angeles with roots in Sweden, Grizfolk released their debut EP, From The Spark in 2014. Their debut full-length studio album, Waking Up the Giants, was released on Virgin in 2016 and is described as “a bold fusion of rootsy alt-rock and European electronic pop.” Their song “Way Back When” was also featured on the soundtrack for the animated motion picture “Peabody & Sherman.” Their latest single, “Shaky in the Knees,” was released in May 2018.
