HELENA – Carroll College Theatre is producing a selection of scenes from eight David Lindsay-Abaire productions, Short NOT Sweet: Scenes from David Lindsay-Abaire. This production will run December 1-4 in the newly converted black box-style theatre in the lower level of the Carroll College Campus Center.

The show features an eclectic mix of darkly comic scenes from Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, David Lindsay-Abaire, who won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for Rabbit Hole in 2007. Scenes were selected by the seven student directors from the plays: A Devil Inside, Fuddy Meers, Rabbit Hole, Wonder of the World, and Good People. The One Act plays Crazy Eights and Baby Food (also directed by students) will be performed in their entirety. In addition, there will be a scene from Kimberly Akimbo, directed by Assistant Professor Kimberly Shire.

Because of strong language this show carries a parental advisory.

  • This FLEX theatre production has a capacity of 100 seats, so booking tickets online in advance is recommended.
  • Twenty tickets will be reserved for door sales only beginning one hour before curtain.

Shows will be at 7:30 p.m. on December 1, 2, and 3, and at 2:30 p.m. on December 4. Parking is free in the Campus Center lot off of Lyndale for all performances. The theatre is fully ADA accessible through the east entrance of the Campus Center. Tickets are available at the door or online at the Carroll Theatre Online Ticket Storefront. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for students and seniors, and $2 with a current Carroll College ID.
