TOMORROW'S LEADERS
Carroll College, in collaboration with University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX, is offering a new Master of Science in Nursing Leadership. “With Carroll College planning to expand our graduate education outreach in both nursing and allied health in the future, this special collaboration between Carroll College and UIW is an exciting first step in offering distance learning graduate-level education opportunities to Montana’s nurses,” said President John Cech. This program, which is the very first graduate program of its kind in Montana, provides Montana nurses with the unique opportunity to acquire an MSN in Nursing Leadership at a reduced tuition rate while continuing to work in their full-time jobs. Through a combination of online coursework, clinical hours and video conferencing held on alternate weeks, students are able to complete this fully accredited 31-credit degree plan in just 24 months. Melissa Moore ’04: Director of Human Resources, Shodair Children’s Hospital
Jerek Wolcott: Sports Information Director, Carroll College
The 20 under 40 awards are meant to honor those who, through their industry and hard work, are moving the Helena community forward toward the future. The winners of this award are nominated by citizens of Helena and the surrounding valley.
HUNTHAUSEN WAY
Perhaps it was divine intervention that the city installed the new Hunthausen Way sign at the Carroll College entrance on Lyndale Avenue Wednesday morning – the very same day as Archbishop Hunthausen’s funeral. Hunthausen Way replaces the formerly named Learning Street and joins with the segment of campus road named for the Archbishop in 2012. The photo above shows the Archbishop at the original dedication ceremony in August 2012. Read more in the IR.
