About
My research and teaching interests include modern poetry, American literature, environmental writing, and experiential learning. Before coming to Carroll, I was on the faculty of the University of Michigan's New England Literature Program, a longstanding learning community focused on the intersections of literature, place, and the environment. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Virginia in 2024; while there, I wrote a dissertation on the reinvention of balladry in the twentieth century. I am delighted to live and teach in Montana, and I have been consistently impressed by the generosity and curiosity of Carroll students.
