Kurtz & Blum scholarship Essay Contest Fall 2018

The law firm of Kurtz & Blum deeply values the role that higher education plays in helping young people to achieve their career goals and become responsible citizens. That is why we will award two scholarships worth a combined $1,500 to current and prospective college students from anywhere in the United States who write the winning essays in our Fall 2018 Scholarship Essay Contest.

Please read on to learn more about our eligibility and application requirements and take advantage of this exciting opportunity by submitting your entry by our deadline of Friday, December 14, 2018.

How would you describe the “Me Too” movement and its impact on our society? Please focus on how the movement affects you personally as well as your family, friends and other individuals that you encounter at school, work and elsewhere.

After we review all entries submitted by our deadline, we will choose two students for our scholarship awards in the following amounts:

  • First place$1,000
  • Second place$500

Each winner will receive a check from Kurtz & Blum, PLLC. These funds must be used to pay for college tuition and/or education-related expenses.
To be eligible for this contest, you must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent U.S. resident who is currently enrolled in:

  • High school
  • Undergraduate college
  • Graduate school.

    To enter our Fall 2018 Scholarship Essay Contest, you must:

  • Verify that you have read and understand our contest rules
  • Submit your application form
  • Submit an original essay of no more than 750 words to kurtzblumlaw@gmail.com.
  • You must complete all entry requirements by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018. Please copy and paste your essay into the contest entry e-mail. Only one essay per student is allowed.

    Employees of Kurtz & Blum, PLLC, Consultwebs, their boards of directors and immediate family members are not eligible for this essay contest.

    We will review each essay that we receive by our deadline and judge them based on their merit and creativity. Your essay should reflect thorough research and original thought. You must cite to all sources of information. Do not plagiarize, which is grounds for immediate disqualification.

    We will announce our scholarship award winners on Friday, January 4, 2019.
