Carter Anderson graduated from Carroll in 2019. As a freshman pre-med student, Carter happened upon his passion for language and earned degrees in biology and French. His senior year, he completed a virtual portfolio outlining how French has aided him in all facets of his personal and professional life (check it out here). His research on the former colony of French Polynesia and race policy in France, as well as studding abroad in Angers, provided novel insights and experiences.
David Woolston, a 2017 grad in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology has been working for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA, and just got his first research publication. His work concerns long term survival in patients with chronic myelomonocytic leuemia after transplantation. Check out the paper

My time at Carroll provided me with the academic skills and knowledge base necessary to pursue a career in medicine. Carroll’s rigorous Health Sciences program provided me both with a scientific perspective of medicine and a deeper understanding of population and community health as a whole. Because of this, I know that medicine is not just clinical, but should be rooted in wholistic care for patients and populations.
