A Welcome from Carroll College's Interim Co-Presidents

Glowienka-Vetter

Dear Carroll Community,

We are honored to step into the roles of Interim Co-Presidents of Carroll College for the 2025–26 academic year. This is a time of transition and opportunity, and we’re excited to serve together in support of Carroll’s Catholic, liberal arts mission and the people who make this place so special.

Our shared leadership model reflects a spirit of collaboration and clarity of purpose. Dr. Jennifer Glowienka will continue to serve as Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs while also overseeing areas such as Student Engagement, Institutional Research, and Marketing and Communications. Bishop Austin Vetter will focus on guiding Administration, Finance, Advancement, and Athletics. We believe this structure will allow us to be more responsive and strategic as we work to strengthen every dimension of campus life.

While each Co-President will provide leadership in specific areas, we are equally committed to fostering a collaborative spirit across all departments. We are excited to see our teams work closely together in service to the Carroll community by sharing ideas, building connections, and supporting one another as we move forward.

We are also fortunate to be supported by a strong leadership team. Amy Honchell, current Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, will serve as Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs this year, and Dr. Grant Hokit has graciously postponed retirement to serve in a part-time capacity as Interim Associate Vice President. Additionally, Dr. Jeremy Johnson, Dean of Faculty, will be working with faculty to explore new academic initiatives that align with Carroll’s mission and academic vision.

As we begin this new chapter, we’re looking forward to connecting with members of the Carroll community by listening, learning, and continuing the important work already underway. We are confident that, together, we can build on Carroll’s strong foundation and shape a bright future.

Carroll has always been defined by its resilience, compassion, and deep sense of purpose. We believe in that spirit, and we are ready to lead with hope, joy, and determination.

With gratitude and enthusiasm,

Jennifer Glowienka, Ph.D.
Bishop Austin A. Vetter, D.D.
