Dear Carroll Community,
This week marks an energizing moment in Carroll’s story, one that celebrates who we are and boldly affirms where we are going. Two significant milestones came to life on our campus: the launch of our You Belong Here campaign and the adoption of a new vision statement by our Board of Trustees. Together, they reflect the spirit, mission, and momentum that define the future of Carroll College.
You Belong Here: Celebrating Our Community and Expanding Our Reach
This past week, we proudly launched You Belong Here, a comprehensive new campaign that amplifies the warmth, welcome, and possibility at the heart of Carroll. Built around the belief that every student with promise, motivation, and curiosity should feel confident imagining a future here, this initiative highlights both the enduring strengths of our community and the many new ways we are making Carroll more accessible.
Already, the response has been extraordinary. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni have generously stepped forward to tell their stories on video, on social media, and on camera across campus, sharing what belonging at Carroll means to them. Their voices remind us that belonging is not an idea; it is a lived experience shaped by people, relationships, and purpose.
We invite you to visit the campaign’s landing page at www.carroll.edu/you-belong-here to see these stories and join us in sharing this message widely. Our gratitude goes out to the Marketing and Communications team, Jeff Wald, McKenna Kindel, Jack Holy, Katie Burk, and Sarah Lawlor, for their creativity, commitment, and countless hours of work in bringing this to life.
A New Vision for the Future
This week also brought the release of a new vision for Carroll College, approved by the Board of Trustees after months of collaboration and campus input. The direction outlined by the Board strengthens our traditional undergraduate experience while expanding access for the many learners Carroll serves today, including adult learners, working professionals, transfer students, and graduate students. It reflects a commitment to meeting students where they are while preserving what makes a Carroll education distinctive.
This vision builds on momentum already underway. Programs such as the Master of Social Work, the 15-month Accelerated Nursing track, the Certificate in Financial Planning, our hybrid cybersecurity program, and the developing Physician Assistant program demonstrate how Carroll is preparing students for in-demand careers and responding to the needs of Helena, Montana, and the surrounding region. These efforts deepen partnerships, support the local workforce, and create flexible options for students and alumni advancing their education.
The Board’s direction provides a clear framework for Carroll’s next strategic plan and reaffirms our mission of faith, academic excellence, and service. It positions Carroll to grow with purpose, broaden opportunities for learners across generations, and continue serving the common good with integrity and hope.
Moving Forward Together
Both the You Belong Here campaign and our new vision statement reflect the same truth. Carroll’s future is bright because of the people who make this place extraordinary. Thank you for lending your talent, your passion, and your belief in our mission. Your work ensures that every student who comes to Carroll knows, clearly and confidently, that they belong here and that they are part of something purposeful and hopeful.
We look forward to walking this path with you as we write the next chapter of Carroll College together.
With gratitude,
