As the summer sun begins to set on another season, the excitement on campus is rising as we prepare to welcome the newest members of our Carroll College community! Our 2025 New Student Orientation kicks off August 17–19 and promises to be an energizing and meaningful introduction to life at Carroll.
Orientation is more than just a set of logistical to-dos; it’s the official start of the Carroll experience. It’s where new friendships begin, where students explore the vibrant Helena community, and where they discover the heart of what it means to be a Saint – curiosity, community, and care.
Our dedicated orientation staff has been hard at work all summer to design a program that balances helpful information with connection, fun, and adventure. The official move-in day is Sunday, August 17, with activities and welcome events beginning immediately as students and families arrive on campus. That afternoon and evening, students will settle into their residence halls, attend floor meetings, and begin the transition into life at Carroll. Parents and family members are also encouraged to participate, with special programming designed to answer questions and ease the transition for everyone.

Why Orientation Matters
Orientation is about more than just learning your way around campus. It’s about forming relationships, connecting with mentors, and beginning your academic journey with confidence. Students will receive an orientation packet at check-in, including a menu of events and helpful resources to guide them through the week. From academic advising to outdoor exploration, every moment is crafted to help students feel welcomed, supported, and ready to thrive.
Our orientation webpage has everything students and families need to prepare, including schedules, checklists, and registration for optional retreats and CAMP trips.
Congratulations to our newest Saints! Welcome to Carroll! We can’t wait to meet you.
