Symphony Under the Stars Details

Join the Helena Symphony and Carroll College in their continued collaboration for the Intrepid Credit Union Symphony Under the Stars concert event and fireworks show on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. on the campus of Carroll College.  Considered the largest summer event in Montana, the much-anticipated Symphony Under the Stars attracts close to 18,000 people from all over the state of Montana and beyond.

Celebration! will be exactly what it sounds like. An evening of celebration! A celebration of America’s 250th birthday. A celebration of the newest president of Carroll College. A celebration of Helena’s newest mayor. Plus a myriad of other occasions to celebrate! And no celebration is complete without some party music. The music of Lionel Ritchie, James Brown, Earth Wind & Fire, Neil Diamond, and Kool & the Gang will have you up and dancing from the beginning! The Helena Symphony will be working with the same producer from some favorite past shows, and welcome the return of Capathia Jenkins and Ryan Shaw, who both starred in the Aretha tribute in 2019 and ICONS in 2025. 

Carroll College has partnered with First Student to provide free shuttle service to campus from three convenient off-site locations:

  • The Lewis & Clark Fairgrounds
  • Centennial Park
  • Getchell Street Parking Garage (next to the Cinemark Theatre)

Rather than waiting in traffic for an hour after the concert, park off-site and enjoy a quick, hassle-free ride to campus. Shuttles will run continuously before and after Symphony Under the Stars, making this the easiest and safest way to attend the event.

We encourage all attendees to take advantage of this free service.

Fairgrounds Centennial Great Northern

  • A blanket to sit on and one to stay warm with
  • Some cold drinks (lots of water!)
  • Canned or non-perishable goods to donate to Helena Food Share
  • Cash - Vendors will be on hand at the event

  • Firearms
  • Knives, swords, and other bladed weapons
  • Tasers, stun guns, and similar devices
  • Pepper spray, mace, or chemical irritants
  • Explosives, fireworks, sparklers, or incendiary devices
  • Any object intended or used to cause harm

Illegal Substances

  • Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia

Hazardous Materials

  • Flammable liquids or gas
  • Smoke bombs or pyrotechnic devices
  • Laser pointers

Disruptive or Unsafe Items

  • Drones or unmanned aerial devices
  • Remote-controlled vehicles
  • Air horns or excessively loud noisemakers
  • Large poles, sticks, or flagpoles
  • Items that obstruct the view or movement of other guests

Recording and Commercial Activity

  • Professional photography, videography, or audio recording equipment without
    authorization
  • Unauthorized sales, solicitation, fundraising, or distribution of materials

Animals

  • Animals, except service animals as defined by applicable law

Behavioral Restrictions

  • Disorderly, disruptive, or intoxicated behavior
  • Harassment, threats, fighting, or abusive conduct
  • Destruction of property
  • Failure to follow directions from event staff, security personnel, or law enforcement
