ROTC Commissioned Cadets for Class of 2026

On May 8, Carroll College’s ROTC program held its annual Spring Commissioning Ceremony in the Montana State Capitol Rotunda, where five graduating cadets took the oath of office and were commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the United States Army. This year’s ceremony was attended by Montana Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen and Colonel Janel Wiese of the Montana National Guard.

Congratulations to our newly commissioned officers (pictured from left to right):

  • 2LT Aidan Jarvis (Nursing major & Leadership minor) will attend the Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
  • 2LT Jacob Bates (Anthrozoology major & Leadership minor) will attend Field Artillery BOLC at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, before reporting to Fort Wainwright, Alaska, for his first duty station.
  • 2LT Madelyn Eggers (Biology major with a pre-medicine pathway and Leadership minor) will further her education and pursue a master’s in medical sciences at Rocky Vista University. She is Commissioning as a Medical Service Officer into the Montana Army National Guard Medical Readiness Detachment
  • 2LT Tristan Pyette (Health Sciences major with Public Health & Leadership minors) plans to move to Alabama to attend Aviation BOLC and flight school.
  • 2LT Gannon Roeper (Communications major & Leadership studies minor) plans to return to Idaho to serve in the National Guard and pursue a career as a high school history teacher.
