Presidential COVID-19 Update: August 7, 2020

Marching Back Update Graphic
To the Parents and Guardians of Carroll College students,

We continue to finalize plans for a safe and healthy return to campus. We have updated the Marching Back website to include additional Frequently Asked Questions and the most recent communications. Please email covid19@carroll.edu with questions.

COVID-19 Online Training
Students, faculty and staff are required to complete the COVID-19 Online Training Course before returning to campus. This Moodle course is designed to communicate the practices and procedures in place to make sure we have a safe and healthy return to campus. Accessing the COVID-19 Training Course will require your student's Carroll College username and password.

Testing times and locations for students
Carroll College will be providing free testing for all students prior to class on Monday, August 17.

The testing process:
  • Students will go to their preassigned testing location.
  • Students will go to the correct line based on the first letter of their last name.
  • Students must sign the Testing Consent Form at the time they are tested. Please read this before coming to the testing site so that it can be signed quickly and expedite the process.
  • Students will complete the test themselves under the supervision of an observer.
  • Tests will be labeled with a pre-printed label used to help speed the processing of the tests. This is why it is important to go to the correct testing center.
  • Test results will be back in 48-72 hours.
  • Students who are COVID-19 positive will be contacted by the Wellness Center who will discuss next steps. Students will also receive an email from Biodesix, our contracted testing company.
Testing Times
Students should test prior to Saturday, August 15 at 6 p.m.  While we have planned testing locations for Sunday and Monday for students who will not physically be available before then, the goal is to complete testing for the majority of our students prior to the end of the day Saturday.

Thank you,

Carroll College Marching Back Task Force
