Twenty-five years after 9/11, Carroll Professor of Anthrozoology and Department Chair Dr. Marie Suthers shared her experience caring for the search dogs and volunteers working at Ground Zero. Suthers, who spent two weeks at the site as a Veterinary Medical Assistance Team leader, reflected on the extraordinary role more than 300 specially trained dogs played in the search and recovery effort.
