At this year’s Montana Post Secondary Educational Opportunities Council (MPSEOC) Summer Conference, Finley Bates ’24, a recent Carroll graduate and current Admission Counselor, was honored with the Rising Star Award, a prestigious recognition for professionals new to the field of college admissions who have already made a meaningful impact.

The Rising Star Award is presented annually to an MPSEOC member with fewer than three years of experience who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to higher education and student outreach. In his first year on the Carroll Admission team, Finley was praised for his initiative, dedication, and positive attitude. His nomination highlighted not only his professional growth and commitment to excellence, but also his willingness to go above and beyond from leading weekend campus tours to helping visitors navigate icy sidewalks.
Finley’s enthusiasm for connecting with students during high school visits and his constant readiness to pitch in wherever needed exemplify the kind of service and spirit Carroll is proud to uphold.
MPSEOC grants only two awards each year: Professional of the Year and Rising Star. Finley’s recognition marks the first time a Carroll employee has received an MPSEOC award since at least 2017.
Please join us in congratulating Finley on this well-deserved honor and thanking him for the energy and heart he brings to Carroll and its future Saints!
