I write to you today as your Bishop, and also as the Chancellor and Interim Co-President of Carroll College. These past months have been a true joy serving as Co-President alongside Dr. Jennifer Glowienka, who joined Carroll’s faculty in 2003 and has since served in several academic and leadership roles, most recently as Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College. Wise, sincere, and deeply faith-filled, Dr. Glowienka brings both experience and heart to her leadership. I look forward to introducing you more fully to her as she assumes her role as Carroll’s 20th President in July 2026. Carroll College is in good hands, but we need your help.
As I travel throughout the Diocese, it is a joy to witness the lasting impact Carroll College has had on our people over its 117-year history. Many of you are already connected to our diocesan college as alumni, friends, relatives, and benefactors, and have been strongly committed to Carroll’s success for decades. Thank you! I am deeply grateful for your generosity and continued commitment.

For those who may be new to our Diocese, I wish to introduce you to our diocesan college. Founded alongside St. Helena’s Cathedral by Bishop John Patrick Carroll, Carroll College is a vibrant and hope filled place and is one of our very best tools for journeying with our young people. Carroll is a liberal arts college, rooted in the Catholic tradition, with strong professional and pre-professional offerings, and forms students in faith, vocation, and a lifelong search for truth and commitment to service. It has been a distinct privilege of my episcopacy to spend regular quality time with our students and witness this mission lived by them each day. As our diocesan college, we Catholics of the Diocese of Helena share an important and unique responsibility for Carroll’s continued success. We are so fortunate to have our own Catholic college right here! While my role as Co-President concludes in June, I remain firmly committed to strengthening the enduring partnership between the Diocese of Helena and Carroll College. I invite you to join me.
