Carroll’s Class of 2029 has been hitting the trail

CAMP Collage

One of the most memorable ways our newest Saints begin their Carroll journey is through outdoor adventures hosted by the Carroll Adventure and Mountaineering Program (CAMP). This fall, students kicked off the semester with a hike up Mount Helena overlooking campus, followed by an unforgettable rafting trip down the Alberton Gorge, one of Montana’s premier whitewater runs. Next up, many freshmen will shoulder backpacks and set out on a trip into the backcountry, gaining not only new skills but also lifelong friendships.

These experiences are more than just adventures in the mountains and rivers of Montana—they are an important part of building community, fostering resilience, and connecting students to the spirit of Carroll. They help our students start their time here with a strong sense of belonging and the confidence to take on new challenges together. Students can find out about other upcoming adventures in the weekly "The Rec" email.
