About the Session
Every mental health professional is a leader, whether guiding clients, supporting colleagues, or shaping organizational culture. Grounded in SAMHSA's framework for trauma-informed organizations, including the four R's (realize, recognize, respond, and resist re-traumatization) and six guiding principles, this training translates trauma-informed concepts into concrete leadership practices.
Participants will learn strategies for establishing clear expectations and consistent communication, creating welcoming spaces that promote safety and trust, using collaborative decision-making, recognizing and responding to secondary traumatic stress, and implementing supportive policies and workload boundaries that prioritize both client care and worker well-being.
