On April 28, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Carroll College Nursing Department will hold a mock mass casualty incident (MCI) event on the athletic practice fields between the PE Center and Guadalupe Hall.
We need 50 volunteer actors to portray victims for each time block. This is an extremely important role to play. The more realistic you can portray your patient, the better learning experience you provide our future nurses! More coaching will be provided after signing up.
You may play all day, or just the block that fits your schedule. The theatre department will be on site to provide make-up if needed, but profiles with no makeup are available. Each time block includes 30 minutes of preparation/makeup, and you can expect to perform the simulation twice in each time block. Each block includes some flexibility, so if you need to leave for a 2:15 class, for example, we can manage that.
- Round 1: 8:30-10:10 am (Arrive at 8:30, Run simulation twice at 9:00 and approx 9:30)
- Round 2: 10:30-12:15 pm (Arrive at 10:30, Run simulation twice at 11:00 and approx 11:30)
- Round 3: 12:45-2:25 pm (Arrive at 12:45, Run simulation twice at 1:15 and approx 1:45)
Complete this form if you are interested in Volunteering. More information will be sent to the email you provide prior to the event. You will need to sign a NDA and will be assigned a victim profile. Lunch will be provided to all participants from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM.
This is a fun and impactful event that is gaining a lot of momentum on and off campus. Please register for this unique opportunity!
