Literary Fest Submission Deadline

Call for Submissions to the 2025 Carroll College Undergraduate Literary Festival:  

The Senior English Capstone Seminar students are accepting submissions for the 2025 Carroll College Undergraduate Literary Festival. All works are welcome regardless of the field of study. If you have any questions regarding your topic, feel free to contact us via email at litfest@carroll.edu!

Monetary prizes of up to $350 from Montana Book Co. will be awarded to select winners. The Capstone Seminar students will judge the submissions and choose the first, second, and third-place winners. If you are a high school student, please clarify that in your submission. (Capstone students are ineligible for prizes.)

Submissions are requested in the form of a Microsoft Word Document (.docx).
Prose (fiction, creative nonfiction, memoir, or academic): 2000 words minimum.
Poetry: 200 lines minimum (one long poem or several shorter ones).
Please inquire about one-act play, spoken word, or graphic novel entries.

Winners must be able to present their works and/or accept their prizes at the Carroll College Literary Festival on the evening of November 6, 2025. Presentation length: 12-15 minutes.

Submission Deadline: Friday, October 31, by 5:00 p.m.
