Carroll College will host its annual Constitution Day Lecture on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 7–9 p.m. in Simperman Hall’s Wiegand Auditorium. This year’s featured speaker is Dr. Dane J. Cash, associate professor of history, who will present “Socialism, McCarthyism, and the Meaning of the Constitution.”
Dr. Cash is the author of The Forgotten Debate: The Korean War and the Roots of America’s Ideological Divisions, which examines the political and ideological debates surrounding the Korean War and argues that the roots of America’s modern partisan divisions can be traced further back than is commonly understood.
Montana Book Co. will be on site with copies of Dr. Cash’s book available for purchase. The lecture is open to the public.
