Join Dr. Kelly Cline, Carroll College Professor of Mathematics & Astronomy, for his first lecture of the semester in his public astronomy series, ”Astrobiology: The Scientific Search for Extraterrestrial Life.”
Is it possible that the Earth is not the only planet with life? Is it possible that there are living things on other planets around other stars? The new science of astrobiology seeks to answer these questions! Dr. Cline will discuss the scientific search for life on Mars, under the icy crust of Jupiter’s moon Europa, and on planets that orbit the billions of other stars in our galaxy.
