Purple Thursday

Purple is the color used throughout October to commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Thursday, October 15, is Purple Thursday, a campus-wide call to action. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the Carroll College Community are encouraged to wear purple throughout the day in unity with others across the country to show support for survivors, raise awareness about domestic violence, and stand in solidarity during October Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Post a photo of yourself wearing purple. Use the hastags: #CarrollWellnessCenter, #CarrollCollege, #BrightSkyUS, #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth, @westernregionCOS. Tag a few friends and encourage them to post their best Purple Day photos.

The best way to be involved throughout the rest of the month is to follow CarrollWellnessCenter on Instagram. There you'll find ways to engage with educational content, raise awareness, support survivors, and promote healthy relationships.

Visit us in the Upper Cube on Tuesdays from 12-2 p.m. for more information about upcoming programming.
