My husband and I created the Murray-Aalgaard Family Nursing Endowed Scholarship to express appreciation to Carroll College for the scholarship they extended to me way back in 1958 that helped make my dream of becoming a Registered Nurse come true. My nursing education programs, both diploma and baccalaureate at Carroll, were first-rate and prepared me well for my 30 year career in Nursing Administration at a 400 bed suburban hospital. I hired a lot of talented and specialized RNs over the years; they really are the heartbeat of the hospital and I am so proud of them! The goal of this endowment is to provide scholarship funds to current Carroll College Nursing students, with the hope that they too, will make our shared dream come true.
