Presidential COVID-19 Update: February 11, 2021

Marching Forward Graphic

Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students:

Although Montana Governor Greg Gianforte is lifting the statewide mask mandate as of today, Friday, February 12, masks will continue to be required on Carroll’s campus.

However, as we have learned throughout this pandemic, Montana law allows local jurisdictions to be more strict (but not less strict) than the state as it relates to health directives.

Subsequently, Lewis and Clark County's mask order remains in place.

In addition, Carroll College’s mask mandate also remains in force. Masks continue to be required on our campus in all indoor public spaces as well as in outdoor settings where six feet of distance cannot be accommodated. Mask usage continues to be one of the best ways to limit the spread of the virus.

All of us doing our part and wearing our masks properly will give us the best chance to finish out the semester in person and on campus.

Thank you, Saints!

Sincerely,

John E. Cech, Ph.D.
President
