Essay Overview
We are asking students to write a 150-300 words essay about the following: Describe an obstacle that you overcame, and how that experience demonstrates your character or helped to shape it.
We want students to explain a personal challenge they experienced and how that experience molded them into the person they are.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be high school seniors that are graduating in summer 2022; or
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a university for the start of the fall 2022 semester.
Deadline
- Applications and essay must be submitted before December 15th, 2022; and
- The winner of the scholarship will be notified no later than December 30th, 2022.
Scholarship Reward
The winner of the contest will receive a $1,000 scholarship to put towards their college tuition costs.
