Conrad Addison '11 - Caring Bridge Website

Conrad Addison, a 2011 graduate of Carroll College and current medical student, was involved in a mountain bike accident on Galbraith Mountain near Bellingham, WA, on May 29 that resulted in a C4 and C5 spinal cord injury. Conrad’s wife, Lauren (Vansickle) Addision, who is  a 2011 graduate of Carroll and a nurse, and two friends were with him at the time of the accident. Conrad was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

A Caring Bridge webpage has been posted which allows you to post messages of support and receive updates. The webpage can be accessed at: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/conradaddison. Cards of support can be sent to Conrad and Lauren Addison in care of Harborview Medical Center, 325 Ninth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104.

On a recent posting, Lauren wrote: “There have been several Carroll College graduates living in the Seattle area who have stopped by the hospital to leave cards and say hello. A 2013 CC nursing grad working at Harborview delivered a handwritten note yesterday and a 1985 CC nursing graduate who works at Swedish Hospital came by a few days ago to deliver a huge bag of treats and snacks (and wine!) to us. This morning a 1980 CC graduate and general surgeon at Swedish stopped by on his lunch break to introduce himself and let us know he would be available if we needed anything.”

Conrad is from Great Falls, MT, and majored in Chemistry at Carroll. Lauren is from Sammamish, WA, and majored in Nursing at Carroll.

Conrad’s sister Kara shared on a recent post: “With Conrad up and off the ventilator, he is constantly looking at all the cards and notes so many people have sent. I have been asked if cards are ok to send and the answer is YES!!!! If you feel inspired to send a card, I guarantee it will be read, re-read, and read again."
