Carroll Graduation Takes Place Saturday, May 11

Carroll College will hold its class of 2019 commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 11, with 315 students graduating including its first master's level graduates. Carroll College alumni from the classes of 1959 and 1969 will also be honored.

Associate Professor of Nursing and Professor Emerita, Ms. Donna Greenwood, will provide remarks during the ceremony. Ms. Greenwood was the recipient of the 2014 Outstanding Teaching Award. In addition, President John Cech, PhD, will provide an address as well.

The class of 2019 senior speaker will be Conor Coutts of Enumclaw, Washington. Coutts, who is graduating with a major in political science and minors in philosophy and theology, was elected by his fellow classmates to speak on their behalf.

In addition, the college will be honoring the achievements of exceptional faculty, staff and students with the Emeritus Professors, Outstanding Teaching Award, Distinguished Scholar Award, Excellence in Service Award, Bishop Gilmore Memorial Award for Outstanding Scholarship, and the Michael Murphy Award for Outstanding Collegiate Citizenship.

10:00 a.m., Baccalaureate Mass, Cathedral of St. Helena

Due to limited seating in the Cathedral, admission to Baccalaureate is by ticket only. Doors to the Cathedral open at 8:30 a.m.

2:00 p.m., Commencement, PE Center

Due to fire code regulations at the Carroll PE Center, guest tickets are required for the 2019 Commencement ceremony. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to select suitable seats. Doors to the PE Center open at 12:30 p.m.
