How did engineering at Carroll affect your career path? After Carroll, I went on to work for Morrison-Maierle and am with them to this day. It has been a challenging and fulfilling experience and has helped shape my career. I have learned that if you step outside of your comfort zone and take risks, it will open the door to new opportunities.

Do you still find that your Carroll education is important in your life today? My time at Carroll prepared me for a life of adventure by pushing me to be a better person. To influence change, a person needs to reflect on themselves and lead others selflessly. I have a drive to make my teams, and the people around me better and that started with my foundation at Carroll. It took many years to grasp the concept that it truly isn’t for school but for life. But that motto along with the relationships built during my time at Carroll affect me to this day. I try to exemplify that spirit as I live my life now in leading others to become better leaders themselves.

Briefly describe a notable memory from your days at Carroll: The great professors who took time to bond with students and the small class size made the journey at Carroll very enjoyable.

A piece of advice for prospective Carroll engineering students: If you are thinking about becoming a Carroll engineering student, the real-world experience that Carroll professors bring to the classroom prepares you well. But when we are looking to expand our team, it isn’t about the grades or the university, it’s about the person and the drive. Embracing the culture at Carroll can help build a great foundation for starting your career.
