About
Megan Michelotti grew up in Butte, Montana, where she graduated from Butte Central Catholic High School.
She holds a BA from Carroll College in Communications and Public Relations (2022). She is the seventh member of her family to attend Carroll. She began her career as a crime and education journalist for the Helena Independent Record before working for the State of Montana’s Child and Family Services Division as a Centralized Intake Specialist.
She found her way back to Carroll in June of 2025. As the Senior Executive Assistant to the President of Carroll College, Megan works closely assisting the President to achieve his goals and serves as the liaison between Carroll College and the Board of Trustees.
Megan is married to Dagim Degaro ‘24, who has worked in the role of Alumni & Community Engagement Coordinator for the Office of Institutional Advancement at Carroll since July of 2024. She loves many things, but at the top of the list are her family, her dog Frank, writing, Montana's mercurial seasons, traveling, cooking, a good cup of tea, and Carroll College. She looks forward to her annual sibling trips with her four siblings. So far, they’ve been to multiple national parks, Thailand, and New York City. Something always goes wrong in the best of ways.
