Retta is the current Education and Outreach Coordinator for the The Myrna Loy and serves on the Faculty at Grandstreet Theatre School. 

She grew up in Helena, and holds a BA in Acting and Directing (Middlebury College) and an MFA in Theater (Sarah Lawrence College). She also studied at the British American Drama Academy in London, and the La MaMa International Symposium for Directors in Italy. After graduate school, Retta served as a company member and the Artistic Manager for Trusty Sidekick Theatre Company in NYC. She has taught for the New Victory Theater, Disney Theatrical Group, Brooklyn Arts Council, and Sitka Fine Arts Camp. Her puppetry work has been seen at St. Ann’s Warehouse and the Voice 4 Vision Festival in NYC. A few of Retta's favorite directing credits at Grandstreet are Our Town, Sense and Sensibility, and Speech and Debate. 

Retta is the co-cordinator of Carroll's annual Puppet Slam.
