About

Rachel Mattern, PA-C, is the Director of Clinical Education for the developing Physician Assistant Program at Carroll College. A Carroll College alumna from the class of 2000, she achieved her degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain College and completed a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) through Pace University. She has been board-certified since 2004 and achieved a Certificate of Added Qualification in Emergency Medicine in 2016. She has practiced clinically in family medicine, dermatology, pediatrics, and emergency medicine.  She continues to maintain clinical practice, proudly serving the Helena community since 2007.

Prof. Mattern is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Montana Academy of Physician Assistants. She and her husband Brian have 5 amazing children and enjoy gardening, the symphony and all that Montana has to offer.
