Creating Champions for Life

Dear Carroll Community,

This past weekend, Carroll College debuted a new commercial in partnership with KXLH/KTVH television that will air across Montana, primarily during sporting events. Inspired by Carroll’s recognition as the inaugural NAIA Champions of Character award winner, the commercial highlights what makes Carroll distinctive: students who succeed at the highest levels in the classroom, on the field, and in service to their communities. Watch the commercial here.

In Montana, grit, pride, and hard work define us, and at Carroll, that spirit is lived out every day. Our students achieve at a championship level not only in athletics but also through a truly distinctive academic experience. Carroll’s faculty are deeply committed to engaged, experiential learning that goes far beyond the classroom. Through faculty-student research, internships, and community-based learning, students immerse themselves in opportunities that sharpen critical thinking, inspire creativity, and prepare them to navigate the complexities of today’s world.

What makes Carroll especially unique are the relationships formed along the way. The mentorship and collaboration between faculty and students are consistently named as the most meaningful aspects of a Carroll education. These connections equip our graduates with the knowledge, resilience, and skills to serve their communities and lead with purpose.

This week’s newsletter highlights several ways that spirit is lived out on our campus. You will read about the launch of the new St. Catherine Scholars Program, a pathway designed to guide students toward their fullest potential while preparing them for prestigious opportunities such as the Rhodes, Fulbright, Truman, and Goldwater fellowships. We also share news of two new mission and service-focused leadership appointments that will enrich our students’ academic and personal journeys. And you’ll see a newspaper photo feature capturing innovative classroom learning, including a lesson in traditional Native American games.

As this new commercial reminds us, Carroll is “Not for school, but for life.” We are proud to see that truth lived out daily by our students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the wider Carroll community.

With gratitude,
