2020 Halo Awards

HELENA, Mont. -- The third annual Halo Awards took place virtually on Friday, May 1, recognizing Carroll College student-athletes for their extraordinary achievements in athletics, the classroom and in the community. 

In total, 48 awards were given on the night, the most prestigious being the St. Sebastian Award, which is given to the student-athletes who exemplifies most what it means to be a Carroll College student-athlete. One who embodies qualities consistent with the Carroll College mission statement such as courage, honor, and service. These athletes demonstrate a strong work ethic, athletic performance, academic integrity, and leadership. The recipients are well-rounded individuals who give back to Carroll as well as the Carroll community.

Saints Cup Award: Women’s basketball

As a way to encourage student-athletes to support student-athletes, SAAC created the Saints Cup award. When a majority of the team shows up to support other teams on campus, they get points and the team with the most points at the end of the year wins the Saints Cup.


Scholar-Athlete of the Year:
The athletes who shows the best balance of athletic and academic performance. This award takes into account the work athletes do in the classroom while also considering their impact athletically. Given to one female and one male athlete.

Male Most Outstanding Scholar Athlete: Dane Warp, men's basketball
Female Most Outstanding Scholar Athlete: Charly Clements, women's soccer
