Transfer Student Scholarships

Carroll College has several scholarship awards available for transfer students each year.  Carroll College scholarships and grants are available for students pursuing their first baccalaureate degree.  Post-baccalaureate degrees do not qualify for Carroll gift aid, which includes Carroll VA match benefits and Tuition Remission/Exchange benefits.  Degree-seeking international students should contact the Admissions Office to determine merit levels based on academic transcripts for their country of origin.  Total aid including outside scholarships cannot exceed the total cost of attendance.

2027-2028 Transfer Merit Awards

Transfer students are automatically considered for one of our Transfer Merit Awards. These awards are based upon an academic college GPA calculated at time of admission. The award is renewable for up to eight semesters (4 years) until graduation. Students must be in good academic standing, be enrolled full-time and remain a campus resident to retain the award.

Freshmen level merit scholarships are available to transfer students who have attempted 30 or less cumulative college credits. Check with your Admission Counselor to see if you qualify.

Other Carroll Awards

  • Carroll Scholarships, beyond the merit scholarship, require high school transcripts to be submitted to the Admission Office.

  • Federal Pell Grant eligible students with transfer GPA of 3.00 and higher qualify for a Carroll College Pell Promise Award.

Carroll Need-Based Financial Aid

In addition to Federal Student Aid, students who demonstrate high levels of financial need may aslo qualify for additional need based Carroll gift aid. This aid is determined by the FAFSA results and no additional application is required. FAFSA application needs to be processed by December 1 for priority consideration. Estimated amounts can be between $500-$11,000.

If you’re at a two-year college or another school wondering if transferring is worth it, let me tell you, coming to Carroll College was one of the best leaps I’ve ever taken.
