Health Sciences Club

The Health Sciences Club is a student-led group that's interested in the health of the community.  Many members are planning careers in health-related fields and this club also provides opportunities to connect with health professionals Helena.

Previous Club Events

The club supported the Non-profit organization NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) by participating in their NAMI Walk. 

While participating in Service Saturday which is a student-run event through Carroll College, club members able to help build and clean homes with the Habitat for Humanity Organization. 

The club helped make informational care packages for the Social Services Organization - Healthy Mother's, Healthy Babies for those who attended their Perinatal Mental Health Conference that was held in November. 

The club planned, created, and held a table event in the school Campus Center to share information and raise awareness for Red Ribbon Week, which is a National Campaign that dedicates one week each year to raising awareness on alcohol, tobacco, smoking, and other drug abuse/violence prevention. 

Club members made tie blankets that were then donated to Family and Child Services here in Helena, MT. The blankets were then donated to children were already in care and children being placed in care. 

Club members had the chance to help with the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes Event held at the State Basketball tournaments and help give the athletes physical exams to make sure they are staying healthy and happy.
