Associate Registrar

Job Responsibilities

The Associate Registrar provides direct assistance, support, and advice to the Registrar regarding designated areas within the Registrar's Office.

The Associate Registrar is responsible for creating the course schedule for each semester. Organizes and manages daily operations concerned with registration, management of student academic records, records system processing and retention, and related areas.  Assists with the operation and personnel within the Registrar's Office, as assigned. Prepares and submits the enrollment and graduation reports to the National Student Clearinghouse, and tests Colleague updates affecting these areas, and other areas, prior to their installation into the Colleague production environment.  Responsible for the preparation of athletic eligibility certificates and related information. Supervises and mentors work-study students. In addition, the Associate Registrar provides high quality customer assistance and leadership on special projects, as directed, such as assisting with the organization of Commencement, Honors Convocation, and other arrangements as assigned. Provides support, information and assistance to faculty, staff, students, and general public. Ensures compliance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), interprets and enforces academic rules and policy, and all other applicable laws and regulations.

The Associate Registrar serves on the following College committees and governing bodies:

  • Curriculum Committee (ex-officio, non-voting)
  • Classroom Committee
  • Colleague Procedure Manual Committee
  • Colleague Team Lead Group-when Registrar is absent
  • Staff Advisory Committee
  • Building Action Team Coordinator for O’Connell Building.
