Faculty Information Guide: Library Syllabi Statement
Library Syllabus Statement
Many of your students won't know about, or use, the library and our collections and services unless YOU (amazing faculty!) tell them about us.
To help make students aware of help from the library and the (free! awesome! scholarly!) resources we provide, please feel free to copy and paste this brief statement into your syllabus.
Make any changes you feel are necessary (such as adding names of specific librarians, expectations, specific resources, etc.). If you would like assistance in customizing this statement for your course (adding course-specific resources), please contact library staff.
Ask a librarian for help with your research or citation formatting for this class. You can drop by the library’s Research Help Desk to ask any question you have at any point in your process; librarians can also assist you through online chat (accessible from the library website), email or phone. Librarians help students effectively find and evaluate scholarly articles and books, appropriate websites, as well as relevant statistics, data, government documents, and more.
