Carroll College is committed to staying faithful to its mission... let's talk about it! Please join us in the Lower Campus Center at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, August 31 for a discussion time one what Carroll's mission means to you and all of us. All welcome, but first-year students are required to attend as part of their orientation.


Carroll College Mission

Carroll College is a Catholic, diocesan, liberal arts college in the ecumenical tradition of the Second Vatican Council. Founded in 1909 by Bishop John Carroll, Carroll College is a Catholic, diocesan, liberal arts college in the ecumenical tradition of the Second Vatican Council.  It advances its mission by fulfilling the following objectives:

  1. Instilling an enduring wonder for knowledge that will prepare students for leadership and their chosen vocations
  2. Offering an integrative and value-centered education rooted in freedom of inquiry
  3. Engaging faithfully the intellectual tradition and the teachings of the Catholic Church
  4. Serving all with humility, especially our neighbors who are poor and marginalized
  5. Welcoming all persons of good will in a cooperative journey toward truth and virtue
