Carroll College Engineers without Borders (EWB) and The Julius Foundationinvite all Helena community members to a dinner on Thursday, August 22, in honor of Fr. Julius Bwowe from Uganda, Africa. This event held in the lower level of The Cube at Carroll College, begins with a social hour at 5:00 PM, followed by dinner at 6:00 PM. After-dinner presentations will include a welcome by Carroll’s President, Dr. John Cech; an update from the EWB team on their clean-water project at Holy Trinity School in the village of Kawango; and a brief description by Fr. Julius of other ongoing development projects at the school. Carroll students and Helena residents have been collaborating with Fr. Julius on these projects in rural Uganda since 2015.
The dinner features barbecued chicken and smoked beef brisket with summer salads. Tickets for the event, which must be purchased by August 14, are $20 for adults ($10 for children age 12 and under), and can be ordered either online at thejuliusfoundation.org, from Trinity Books and Gifts (1530 Cedar Street), or by mailing a check for the requested number to The Julius Foundation at 3312 Dunlap Drive, Helena, MT 59602.
