EWB Bwowe Dinner
All Helena community members are invited to a dinner co-sponsored by Carroll College Engineers without Borders (EWB) and The Julius Foundation, in honor of Fr. Julius Bwowe from the Archdiocese of Kampala in Uganda, Africa. The event, held in the lower level of The Cube at Carroll College on Thursday, August 23, begins with a social hour at 5:00 PM, followed by dinner at 6:00 and presentations at 7:00 PM. In addition to a brief address by Fr. Julius, there will be an update on the EWB team’s clean-water project for Holy Trinity School and the village of Kawango, as well as a report on the Helena Rotary Club’s project to provide the school with electricity and computer access. Carroll students and Helena residents have been collaborating with Fr. Julius on these projects in rural Uganda since 2015.
The dinner features barbecued chicken and smoked beef brisket with summer salads. Tickets, which must be purchased by August 10, are $20 for adults ($10 for children 12 and under), and can be obtained either at Trinity Books and Gifts, by sending an e-mail request to email@example.com, or by mailing a check with requested number to The Julius Foundation at 3312 Dunlap Drive, Helena, MT 59602.
